LID Consulting provides Expediting services through our net of expediters, present at the main industrial sites in the country. Our expediters are endowed with proven experience in production planning as well as in manufacturing processes at the main industrial centers. They are qualified to work along with suppliers and are able to identify delays and potential problems aiming to keep up with the predicted schedule and, if necessary, to initiate reparatory action so that production activities return to the planned schedule.

     LID’ actions in expediting aim to prevent additional costs from occurring due to delays in the schedule or non-conformities related to purchase orders, invoices and technical paperwork.

Basic procedure:

• Active presence at suppliers and sub-suppliers offices to ensure that deadlines are carried out

1) Expediting in the Engineering phase as well as in the materials and equipment purchasing phase.

     By experience, we well know that economically effective expediting begins with the placement of purchase orders at the right time. For that, we are qualified to program and expedite activities in engineering and purchasing to ensure that the purchase orders are efficiently issued with enough advancement so that suppliers can deliver the equipment on the dates predicted on the work schedule.

 

2) Expediting during the equipment manufacturing phase.

     Every time a purchase order is issued our expediting service ensures that the supplier will give the necessary attention required by the project’s needs in relation to quality and delivery deadline. Communication continues with the supplier and the project team allows the expediter to anticipate and solve problems before they negatively impact the schedule and costs.

 

3) Planning and logistic support

     Usually, having the equipment manufactured on time solves only half of the problems. The equipment must be transported to the work sites quickly, safely and economically. Our expediters have the experience and are trained to keep continuous communication with the logistic sector at LID Consulting Ltda aiming to design and coordinate all the logistic needs for the project.
Our professionals will work with the field personnel, the designing team and the suppliers in order to ensure that the equipment is designed, bought, manufactured and packaged to facilitate transportation in the best conditions.
